About

I am a traveler in two worlds, the world of science and the world of metaphysics.

My educational background includes a Ph.D. In Social Psychology from UCLA, an MA in Psychology from CSULB, and a B.S. degree in Chemistry from Howard University.

My interest in the metaphysical world was stimulated during my undergraduate years in college. At the age of 20, I developed an interest in yoga, meditation, and theosophy. Later, I developed an interest in astrology in the late 1960s when I had my horoscope done by a computer. I was so amazed by the accuracy of the 12-page report that I decided to study astrology. What amazed me was that one did not have to be psychic to be an astrologer. At the time, the American Federation of Astrologers (AFA) Headquarters was located in my hometown, Washington DC. I began to visit the AFA and purchase books from them.

As I studied astrology and tested its principles on the people I knew, I found that I could learn a great deal of information about a person by studying their natal astrological chart. The more I studied it the more I realized the utility of astrology.

I have practiced and taught astrology since 1971. I began teaching Astrology at the New Age Center in Oklahoma City while I was an officer in the US Air Force. You might say I was a different kind of soldier. Fortunately, the classes were 90 miles from the Air Force Base so no one at the base knew about my weekend activities. Over the years, I have appeared on talk shows to discuss Astrology and meditation. Today, in addition to astrological consultations, I sell comprehensive astrological and numerology reports to the public similar to the one that sparked my interest in astrology more than 40 years ago. Around the same time, I began to study astrology, I also began to study numerology. Over the years, I have found that numerology works well with astrology and often confirms important themes seen in the natal chart.

My metaphysical background includes studies with Yogis and metaphysical teachers. Over the years, I have studied the metaphysical lessons from several schools including Astara, Self-Realization Fellowship, The New Thought Form Presentation of the Wisdom by Lucille Cedercrans, and the Rosicrucians. I received advanced training in the science of Soul contact in the Rainbow Bridge Prototype group in San Diego, became initiated in the practice of Kriya Yoga as taught by Lahiri Mahasaya; traveled to India several times to visit the ashrams of spiritual teachers, and I am an avid student of the teachings of the Tibetan Master Djwhal Khul.

I am a former Research Director for the International Society for Astrological Research, a Lifetime Advanced Member of the American Federation of Astrologers, and the International Society for Astrological Research. I was certified as a professional astrologer by Professional Astrologers, INC. in 1974. I worked as a Senior Research Psychologist for federal government agencies including DoD and the Center for Diseases Control (CDC). I am one of a handful of astrologers who have published a research article on astrology that provides supportive evidence for the validity of astrology in a traditional refereed psychological journal. I started a metaphysical study group known as the Truth Seekers. The purpose of the group is to share techniques that will enable individuals to connect more consciously with their inner source of power, the Higher Self. To facilitate this process, I teach techniques on meditation, spiritual purification, and guided imagery. See http://soul1.org/ for more information.

Following my retirement from the Centers for Disease Control (NCHS), I have devoted my time to sharing my knowledge of astrology with others and continuing my metaphysical pursuits.
